Andy Morris has worked for more than 45 years in the music and entertainment industry with rock legends such as David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Badfinger, Bad Company, The Who, The Eagles and Pink Floyd, among many others. Experienced as a sound engineer, singer-songwriter, music supervisor, tour manager and band manager. Founded Sound Merchants LLC, a full-service artist management and development firm with clients New Cassettes, Rook and the Ravens, The Love Junkies, October Sky, Burke (Vokab Co) and The Rumjacks.
Tamara Martin has worked for Soundmerchants since 2009.
During the last 10 years Tamara has assisted Andy Morris in all aspects of their business. Consultanting and management position at Sound Merchants LLC. This included marketing and managing performing artists careers. She had to travel a lot and learn quickly about the music entertainment business. She collaborated with MTV on many music placement projects for TV shows. This position has required really strong people skills and handling constant unforeseen hurdles. Furthermore, she compiled documentation for Immigration applicants for US work visas.
Prior to working with SoundmerchantsLLC Tamara worked
directly related to renewable energy technologies, I am also tasked with procuring investors for a new style of wind turbine. This new utility-scale turbine has a storage capacity for generated energy for later use, offers a smaller footprint, and an opportunity to generate power from low-wind regions. At that time 2008, I have secured significant funds for the project.
As a graduate of Columbia University with a major in East Asian Studies and a focus on Chinese language, I put my education to use by owning and operating a diamond and jewelry business for over 18 years. Her entrepreneurial, sales and the customer service background would undoubtedly be an asset.
Managed and developed strategic branding, licensing and music placement for UK band New Cassettes, negotiating collaboration with with MTV and MTV Hype Music/Los Angeles and London: Live from Abbey Road and Live from the Village Recorders; helped band land theme song to MTV series Savage U as well as music placement on ABC-TV’s Greys Anatomy and Switched at Birth and the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, ESPN’s X Games USA, US Airways, Ben Sherman, Dickies and more.
